In this class you will learn to cast on, knit, purl, ribbing, basic decreases, casting off and even how to do stripes. Get you on your merry way to happy and confident knitting. | Advanced Concepts in Rigid Heddle Weaving: Warp and Weft Techniques Explore patterning with color and texture using pick up sticks to manipulate warp and weft threads. Take your weaving to a new level. Participants need to be able to weave independently on a rigid heddle loom. Participants need to bring their looms with a practice warp ready to weave. | General Wed. Night Knitting This is the only class that you can work on any project that you have at your own pace and have all of your questions answered. This class meets the first and third Wednesdays for 3 months. | Rigid Heddle Weaving This is the best introduction to weaving that you will find anywhere! This class will allow you to gain a basic understanding of weaving on a rigid heddle loom. | Fiber Prep From raw wool to finished product. This class will discuss how to ready raw wool for use. We will discuss and use drum carder, hand cards, combs, and flickers. We will discuss use of these tools for prepping fiber for spinning and felting. We will also discuss using these tools for blending materials or color. Class Date: 3/27 230-4pm Cost: $20 |
| Plying Rules and Rule-Breakers Takes plying your yarn beyond just twisting together two z singles in the s direction. Learn all of the tricks to ply "correctly" for a balanced yarn. Then learn all of the ways that you can create wonderfully fun yet functional yarns. Learn how to ply to maintain color changes in hand painted rovings. Participants should be able to spin a yarn and adjust a spinning wheel independently to take this class. Class Date: 4/24 10-1 Cost: $25 |

| Intro to Spinning Wheel This class teaches all that you need to make yarn using a spinning wheel. The class starts with understanding your spinning wheel and moves on to basic yarn structure finishing up with spinning yarn using a worsted and semi- worsted method.
